The St. Augustine lighthouse has a rich heritage. It was originally constructed in 1874 and had a long life as a navigational air for mariners. It was used as a training base during the second world war and eventually taken out of service in the late 1960's. It suffered a fire in the 80's and was subsequently restored. It is currently owned by the local county and leased back to a group that operates a museum out of the facility. Our St. Augustine lighthouse wind chime has an accurate depiction of the St. Augustine lighthouse cast into the upper support and into the wind sail.
