The
covered bridge is very rare in our country today. At one
point in our history most bridges were covered bridges. The
covering was installed to protect the timbers from rot. In
the Pacific Northwest there are still many covered bridges
in regular use today, although, they are diminishing with
the passing of time. Now you can have a memento of this
bridge design in this beautiful chime.
The overall length with the bracket is approximately
35 inches. The longest chime tube measures 13 3/4 inches.
The bracket comes
complete with two stainless steel screws for mounting and will
never rust even in harsh and salty maritime climates.
